چکیده
Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is widely applied in acoustic source localization. A multi-frequency model suitable for characterizing the broadband structure signals. In this paper, continuous (gridless) DOA problem with multiple frequencies considered. This formulated as an atomic norm minimization (ANM) problem. The ANM equivalent to a semi-definite program (SDP) which can be solved by off-the-shelf SDP solver. dual certificate condition provided certify optimality of solution so that sources localized finding roots polynomial. We also construct polynomial satisfy and show such construction exists when amplitude has uniform magnitude. ANM, spatial aliasing DOAs at higher cause challenges. discuss issue extensively propose robust combat aliasing. Numerical results support our theoretical findings demonstrate effectiveness proposed method.

DOA Estimation Exploiting Coprime Frequencies
Coprime array, which utilizes a coprime pair of uniform linear subarrays, is an attractive structure to achieve sparse array configurations. Alternatively, effective coprime array configurations can be implemented using a uniform linear array with two coprime sensing frequencies. This enables the integration of the coprime array and filter concepts to achieve high capabilities in meeting system...
متن کاملGridless Two-dimensional DOA Estimation With L-shaped Array Based on the Cross-covariance Matrix
The atomic norm minimization (ANM) has been successfully incorporated into the two-dimensional (2-D) direction-ofarrival (DOA) estimation problem for super-resolution. However, its computational workload might be unaffordable when the number of snapshots is large. In this paper, we propose two gridless methods for 2-D DOA estimation with L-shaped array based on the atomic norm to improve the co...
متن کاملDOA estimation exploiting a uniform linear array with multiple co-prime frequencies
The co-prime array, which utilizes a co-prime pair of uniform linear sub-arrays, provides a systematical means for sparse array construction. By choosing two co-prime integers M and N , O(MN) co-array elements can be formed from only O(M +N) physical sensors. As such, a higher number of degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) is achieved, enabling direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of more targets than th...
متن کاملDOA estimation with hexagonal arrays
Hexagonal arrays are widely used in practice but have received less attention in the optimum array processing literature. In this paper, we show how unitary ESPRIT can be applied to hexagonal arrays for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation. The resulting estimates exhibit good threshold behavior, and are close to the Cramer-Rao bound above threshold. We also show how to use spatial smoothing i...
متن کاملDOA Estimation for Multiple Sparse Sources with Arbitrarily Arranged Multiple Sensors
This paper proposes a method for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of multiple source signals for an underdetermined situation, where the number of sources N exceeds the number of sensors M (M < N). Some DOA estimation methods have already been proposed for underdetermined cases. However, since most of them restrict their microphone array arrangements, their DOA estimation ability is li...
